Sneak Peek Friday - More Cowbell!

In the coming weeks I'll be gluing tubular tires to rims and taking the occasional whiff of embrocation to adjust the senses for cyclocross season. During this time we will be releasing small bits and pieces about the new Chili Con Crosso to get you thinking about the changes we are making for the 2010 cyclocross season!

I'm a guy who loves bicycles, traveling and music. Last year I got a bicycle specifically for traveling and went to the French Alps with it. I couldn't get my face to quit smiling for the entire week I was there! My preferred method of exploring the world is on two wheels.

If I read between the lines correctly, this means the new CCC will be Salsa triple-butted CrMo.  That’s certainly promising.  It also appears Salsa is fading out Scandium from its lineup, and concentrating on CrMo and Ti instead.  Perhaps we’ll soon get some guidance on this from our Amigos?

IMHO that would be sad if it were the case, though I guess it’s consistent with the new direction of Salsa. Simply put, the Podio and CCC (I own both) are among the best-engineered alloy bikes ever made. I still can’t get over how plush the ride is for Scandium—no other aluminum bike I’ve ever ridden is anywhere close. It’s just too bad consumers are so crazy about carbon to notice.

I’d be sad to see scandium totally disappear from the Salsa lineup.

Please make it NOT red. Gloss Black would be great.  The blue or green of the Mariachi/Ala Carte would rock.

I agree I’d disappointed if it were steel, especially if it were on the price line of the Pistola…  For cross racing with steel, I’d buy a Soma for a while lot cheaper and be down with it…

BTW- PLEASE no neon green like the Ala Carte…

Steel, singlespeed, cross. Boom.

Looking forward to seeing the substance behind the style…

The logo is OK, but it needs more cowbell. Yep, I’m going to be ‘that guy’.
