It felt so good to get out last night. I met up with Ben & Curtis of Milltown Cycles and with Ben Oney for a not so fat Fat Tuesday bike ride. We hit the gravel south of Northfield, MN for an incredible evening of mild temps, fast gravel and amazing light. I put my Mukluk away and rode my El Mariachi Ti last night. Ben & Ben rode Fargos and Curtis was on his Fisher. Hope you all are getting out too.

The crew on our way out of town.

Ben Oney of Anothertourdivideblog.blogspot.com. Ben is riding this year's Tour Divide on a Fargo. It was fun to meet and ride with Ben last night. He's one smooth and talented young rider.

As the sun dipped below the horizon, the sky lit up. We just pedalled on. Each taking our turn pulling through.

Sunset turned to darkness. Lights came out and we pressed on.

Our ride started in finished in downtown Northfield. We were refreshed by the crisp air and a comraderie bound by 2 wheels. Until next time my friends. Until next time.

Looks like a great ride. Do you happen to know what fork is on that Fisher? Thinking of putting mine to work on gravel rides in the future.

Thanks Tom.
Alex, I’m sorry I do not know anything about the fork.

Gnat, thanks for the ride and write up! It was a beautiful night to be out.
Alex, that fork is just a stock rigid fork from one of Curtis’ single speed 29ers. He has it on there for the winter months and will be switching back to the Reba it usually wears soon.

Thanks Gnat and Ben!

Pretty easy to spot Ben W’s ride- he’s the only one with fenders.
It was good to see those pics….spring is almost here!

I *heart* the Salsa Culture posts…
Keep pedaling and smiling :)

I too love the Culture Posts. What bars are on the Fargo with the fenders? For some reason they don’t look like the normal drops that come stock. Thanks.

David,
That’s my Fargo with the fenders. I did build it up from a frame, and those are 46cm Salsa Woodchippers. You’re right, the stock Fun Guy Green Fargos came with Salsa Bell Lap bars. I love the Woodchippers for what it’s worth.

Looking good!
You guys at Salsa might very well have saved my life! Well, sort of…. You’ve rekindled my love of cycling again. I’m addicted to my Fargo. Oh yeah! Lower the cholesterol, blood pressure and raise my arms in joy!
