0 CommentsAs the title says, our Big Mama and El Kaboing suspension frames are in stock. This is exciting news for sure. Quite honestly, we've been waiting for this day for some time. Some of our customers and Amigo's have too. Thanks for being patient.
We had 3 over arching design criteria for these frames; Performance, Durability, & Reliability. As such, we decided to add one more small gusset to these frames. The gusset is on the back and underside of the left chain stay. Some might not even notice it unless you are looking. This gusset is to help strengthen the area and further resist the brake forces put into the area by the disc brakes.
In the end, this minimal change took some additional time. Our belief is that this added to the overall durability of the frame.
Now, here are a few details.
- We shipped Big Mama and El Kaboing frames already to Salsa Authorized dealers that had them on pre order. As of today, we are already sold out of Large (20")and X-Large (22") Big Mamas.
- Any remaining stock from this first shipment is being held for Salsa authorized dealers.
- If you are not a dealer and want to discuss remaining stock and the possibility of becoming a Salsa Dealer, please contact Salsa at 877 Moto Ace.
- For non dealers looking for frames. Assuming you do not have an authorized dealer in your area with a territory, frames for sale to non Authorized dealers are in transit and due mid December. Again, if you have a dealer in your area, there may be restrictions.
So...For those waiting for frames, its time to build and enjoy. They are pretty sweet riding frames and something we are pretty proud of.
