At Salsa, we believe a sense of adventure makes life better. The bicycle can be so much more than just a bike; it's a path to new places, new people, and amazing experiences.
We provide the bikes. You determine where they go, and where you go with them. Satisfy curiosity. Explore boundaries. Discover something great.
Salsa. Adventure by bike.
Salsa is dedicated to keeping the spirit of adventure alive in bicycling. We make bikes to help you get there.

After demo-ing quite a few ‘long travel/all mountain’ type 29ers, I decided to get a Horsethief, as the bike really suits our local trails and the sort of riding I do - and it absolutely blitzed my favourite descent:) I took delivery of the bike about 3 weeks ago and had it 9 days before some scumbags stole it! Arrrghh!!
There are no 2012 bikes left in the UK, so I’ve sourced a replacement frame to do a custom build. I’m thinking of upgrading the shock on the bike to a Kashima CTD (like the 2013 Horsethief 1), but want to get the feel of the stock bike. Pete, can you tell me what tune the Horsethief 1 runs on its shock please? Oh, and is the CTD a boost valve shock?
Cheers.

When building the 150mm travel 650B version of this bike. I would recommend a head tube angle between 67 and 67.5! I am ready to buy one! Large please!
