Los Angeles Ride the Divide Premier - Livestrong Fundraiser

Back in June we featured Erik Mathy and 1gear1cause.org in a story on our blog. Click here to see the original story. Erik is quite an amazing individual and he is also kind of crazy as he plans to ride the 2011 Great Divide Mountain Bike Race on a single speed Salsa Fargo bicycle! He's doing this because he hates cancer and his life has been impacted in powerful ways by this terrible disease. Erik is a friend of Salsa and we are presenting the movie as a Livestrong Fundraiser to support Erik, 1gear1cause.org and the fight against cancer.

In addition to the movie premier, Salsa's very own Joe Meiser will be presenting a short 15 minute video highlighting his personal 2009 Divide experience. Joe will be present at the screening so please come to meet Joe and share in & learn from his experience.

One last detail. How could this get any better? How about a ride afterward with like minded individuals? Come join Joe, myself and who knows how many other like minded souls for a great bicycle ride starting at Topanga Creek bicycyle shop. Joe will be on a new Fargo titanium and I will be riding the new Fargo steel. We will be gathering at the shop starting around one and heading out around 2:00 for a ride. Since Topanga Creek has a nice backyard, we will likely have a little back yard social gathering after the ride as well.
