Even if you haven't participated in the Gravel Metric, you likely have seen or heard about it. The fine folks at North Central Cyclery have invested a bunch of time and their own money in the promotion of the event. They have pulled off a couple of unbelievable video productions to promote each year of the event. This year was no different. Here is this year's video if you have not seen it.
The Gravel Metric is really a perfect event. It's well run. It's fun. It's the right distance for a last minute Dirty Kanza tune up. It's also a perfect gateway event to break into the up and coming gravel racing scene. Last year, I was fortunate enough to participate in the event. It was a tune up for me as I was training for Dirty Kanza. On paper, it was the perfect event but then it rained and rained and rained. This made the event take on a whole different feel. Here are a few photos from last year's event.
This year, I can't make it but Salsa will be there in our own little way as we provided some custom water bottles for this event and our great Salsa dealer at North Central Cyclery. We've got our Reveal the Path movie premiere coming up and my schedule just won't allow taking part in the GM. I can't wait to see and hear the stories from this years event. Thanks North Central Cyclery and Axeltree.
Hey Twin Cities & Nearby Folks! Don't forget about the World Premier of Reveal The Path, May 31st at the Riverview Theater in Minneapolis. Buy tickets here!

Growing up as a Minnesota farm boy, I developed an appreciation and love for land and open space. This appreciation has fostered two passions, cycling and photography. Both of these passions provide freedom, encourage me to explore and foster creativity. More importantly though, my journey with a bike and a camera reminds me that the world is big and I am small.
