Today's post is a bit bulletpoint like. Just too many details to write in paragraph form. We'll start out with a few product updates and move on to pricing updates.
Racks & Cages - This is a new and important category for us.
- Anything Cages are now available in black (New# RK8007) and in silver. Both colors are currently in stock
- Minimalist front or rear racks in both black & silver could be in stock as early as May 5th or 6th.
- Wanderlust rear racks in black & silver could be in stock as early as May 5th or 6th
- Down Under front low rider racks in black & silver could be in stock as early as May 5th or 6th
Pricing Updates
We've shipped a lot of bikes & frames over the first 4 months of the year and despite rising costs, increases in shipping costs, and poor exchange rates, we have held our prices to follow through on as many preseason and preorded product commitments as we could. Others manufacturers have raised prices already, and the time has come for Salsa to raise a few costs on some key products. The following products will be going up in price on the next production and shipments.
Please keep in mind that the pricing information is for North America and primarily focused on USA. In countries outside of the USA, pricing is handled and communicated by our distributors and dealers. In addition, we cannot comment on pricing determined by our dealer(s) and you.
- Spearfish - Earlier in April we delivered another production of Spearfish frames and bikes. Our next production is in June and the Spearfish complete bike will have an MSRP of $2499. The frame price did not change.
- Mukluk - We have shipped all of our 2010-2011 Mukluks. We are letting folks know now that pricing for the 2011-2012 will be $1599 for our current Mukluk complete bike. The frameset price did not change.
- El Mariachi - The new price for El Mariachi complete bike will be $1849. The frameset price did not change. We are shipping more complete bikes now and our next production will be later in May.
- Fargo - The new price for Fargo complete bike will be $1699. The frameset price did not change. We shipped a lot of Fargos this past week.
- Vaya - The new price for Vaya complete bike will be $1649. The frameset price did not change. We expect our next shipment in late May/early June.
- Minimalist Racks - New price will be $80 MSRP
- Anything Cages - New price will be $25 MSRP
