Three Days

It's Friday and today's post is short & sweet. We spent 3 days on Minnesota's North Shore riding Mukluks. We had 3 different winter riding experiences. Today we tried to boil each of those rides down into a single picture.

Day 1 - Night Riders - Outside Schroeder, MN

Day 2 - Tofte Peak Overlook - Tofte, MN

Day 3 - Riding the ice dunes - Park Point - Duluth, MN

The Mukluks prevailed and we are back at work. Hope you all have a great weekend. Check back Monday for some product updates.

Growing up as a Minnesota farm boy, I developed an appreciation and love for land and open space. This appreciation has fostered two passions, cycling and photography. Both of these passions provide freedom, encourage me to explore and foster creativity. More importantly though, my journey with a bike and a camera reminds me that the world is big and I am small.

With temps soaring into the 60’s here locally it’s hard to get excited by pics of riding in the snow. I’m just happy to be riding bikes in no snow. Bring on the product updates….

I love the pics of riding in the snow. I’m here on the North Shore myself and loving every minute of it.

Nothing like riding in the cold. Look’s fun. Can’t wait to see them do it in the Olympics. Winter Cycling. That’d be cool.

So were you camping out there too?

Gnat | March 18th, 2011

@Wally I hear ya! However, with temps what they were we were riding with no gloves and often no hat. Felt like spring but we were on snow and fat tires.

@Vito - I looked at your blog for inspiration before heading up

@Scott - Salsa likes the way you think.  That’d be really cool

@Errin - No camping on this trip. We stayed in a small cabin just a 1/4 mile from the trail!

Love that Tofte Peak Overlook picture, that’s a “because it was there” spot if I’ve ever seen one. Everyone needs one of those near them. A ready made challenge with intrinsic beauty you can ride everyday ‘because it’s there’.
