ADVENTURE BY BIKE®

To Give Thanks

The Salsa Crew wishes each of you a great Thanksgiving Day. Here's what some of us are thinking about and thankful for:

Typhoon Tim: I am thankful for a most awesome job that lets me travel the world, and for a most awesome wife who joined me in Taiwan, and for the friendly people of Taiwan who have taken us is and are teaching us about their beautiful island.

Chuck: It's pretty simple; the best things in life are free, and those are the things for which I'm thankful. Oh, and fast bikes and good beer. Keep the shiny side up and the rubber side down!

Sean: Thanksgiving for me means Family, Friends, Warmer weather, and Spearfishing! I’m not actually going spearfishing, but rather riding the Spearfish back home in Tennessee. I was able to ship a pre-production Spearfish to Tennessee a couple of weeks ago when I went back to work with Lynskey as we started making all those shiny Ti bikes. It was so worth it! I was finally able to ride again on some of my favorite trails following two years in Minnesota. The Spearfish was a blast! Raccoon Mountain and the Tsali trail systems are close to my heart so I hit those first. Even rode with some of the Lynskey guys. This trip back I hope to hit the Ocoee Whitewater Center Trails and maybe some north Georgia stuff. See ya out there! Happy Thanksgiving!

Joe: Thanksgiving...a time to replace all those missed calories from the last few months of riding. This Thanksgiving my wife and I will be hosting family at our home for the first time in our 5 years of living in Minneapolis. We’ll be celebrating the baptism of our baby boy, Eli, the Sunday following Thanksgiving. All around I’m looking forward to a few days off after a couple of long weeks traveling in Taiwan. I may take the brother-in-law out for a short ride or run.

Gnat - I’ve got a lot to be thankful for this Thanksgiving. Besides being thankful for my awesome family that supports my selfish bike habit, I am also thankful that I got to ride in California (twice), North Dakota, Kansas, Montana, Iowa, Wisconsin, & Utah this year. This weekend, I’m heading north to help my mom pack her stuff to move to Colorado. Looks like I’ll add Colorado to my list of riding spots very soon. Hope you all have a Happy Thanksgiving.

Pete: I’m thankful for my family’s health and my sweet job working at Salsa.

Kid: I am a rich man in the numerous blessings I've received: Loving family and friends, the wealth of places and people I've gotten to experience, and good health. For all those things, I give thanks.

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Mike Riemer

I love being outside. I prefer to ride on dirt. Or snow. If I was born a hundred years earlier I might have been a polar explorer. There's a great natural world out there to see, smell, taste, listen to, and experience. Life slows down out there and the distractions we've created will disappear if you let them. Give me a backpack and let me go.

Thank you Salsa for working on a Pistola Ti prototype.

Thank you for Salsa for worknig on a new, steel road bike with super-light and super-thin tubing, super-minimalistic decals and detailing, super-horizontal top tube, super-sexy s-bend seatstays, and super-straight, crowned, super-polished chrome steel fork:)
