Today is the day. Today is the day that I have been looking forward to since about this time last year. Today is the day that I cast all my cares away and fly off into the night for a week of relaxation and bliss. Today is the day that I catch a plane on my annual excursion bound for California to carve up the slopes of Mammoth Mountain. Yee Haw! The snow report isn't the greatest this year, but on the flip side I guess I can't complain too much about riding in a t-shirt....its a novelty for us Minneosta types. So I shall see you all again when I return, unless of course my good buddy Shawn White askes me to join his new team and go on tour with him and his crew. Yeah...thats about as likely as me buying a Kelly Clarkston record.

Although the diaphragm is the primary breathing muscle, it is believed that many people have little sensory awareness of it, almost no idea how to engage it more fully, and even how it works. Some breath therapists and breathing teachers believe that because of the increasing stress of modern life and the resulting over-stimulation of the sympathetic nervous system, as well as of the idealised hard, flat belly, many people carry excessive tension in the belly, chest, and back, which makes it difficult for the diaphragm to move freely through its full range of motion.
