Oh what a day!
Today just might be my favorite day of the year. As you may know, I am a big parts and bike junkie. Well, today did not disappoint.
I started my day installing a new SRAM Rival group on a super top secret project we are releasing at Interbike. What could be better than a completely new bike with new technology? I really wanted to go back to Campy, but I couldn't resist the SRAM group. I justified it by telling myself that by installing and riding the new SRAM stuff, I just might have something to talk about with all those roadie's next week at Interbike.
Shortly after the partial Rival group install, our Salsa folks had a long product meeting to talk about next year and beyond. This was so nice because we got to talk about bikes, parts and more bikes. I think this is why we all got into this business anyway. Instead of worrying about press check, dealer programs, shipping and what not, we got to talk about some really big picture high level stuff. It was awesome. I planned this discussion this week because I wanted folks to forget about next week's Interbike madness. It was a really fun meeting and it was great to be at work and not think about Interbike.
As if the day was not good enough, we received our final new project that we will be debuting at Interbike. It is an absolute show stopper. Seriously. It is simply unbelievable.
Interbike is going to be a blast. We have so much new stuff. I can pretty much guarantee that we will have at least one new product that will interest you. We've poured our hearts into this year. This may sound like marketing hype, but I think you will see just how much our Salsa team loves cycling. If you are going to Interbike, please come on over to say hello and see what kind of MN hotdish we are serving.
Have a great weekend everyone.

Growing up as a Minnesota farm boy, I developed an appreciation and love for land and open space. This appreciation has fostered two passions, cycling and photography. Both of these passions provide freedom, encourage me to explore and foster creativity. More importantly though, my journey with a bike and a camera reminds me that the world is big and I am small.
