Last year I was support crew, so this will be my first time riding the Dirty Kanza 200. My goals are to enjoy the ride and take in all the stoke from everyone who is a part of this amazing event. I would really like to achieve a Race The Sun Award, which means finishing before sunset at 8:42 p.m. and being somewhere in the top 100 finishers or so. In order to achieve these goals I will need to take care of myself by properly eating and drinking, focus on making wise and efficient decisions during resupply, stay on course, and remember it's not over until it's over.
My Salsa Warbird, A.K.A. Candy, and gear setup are simple. I will have a toptube bag from Carousel Designs for food, two water bottles and a 70-ounce hydration pack, a small seat bag holding my repair kit, and a GPS.
I am "Toto-lly" looking forward to this adventure and experience. Thank you to all who make this event possible!
