RIDING FORWARD
The name Petervary has become somewhat synonymous with the ITI after ten years of racing it. Where to go from here has been on his mind. “I’ve been thinking about this for the last couple of years. With this year being my tenth, I had been saying it could be my last. I am not done winter expedition riding, but I do need to switch things up.” Petervary has considered volunteering at a checkpoint or riding the route backward at the same time to see racers and friends. “I feel fortunate to have made all the friends I have within the organization and along the route. It would be tough to miss one of these reunions. But I also know there is so much more to do and there comes a time to move on. I guess the answer is, we’ll see.”
