Part 7 - Chaise the Chase - You Can't Keep A Good Chaise Down

You can’t keep a good chaise down.
Missing its gravel friends, The Chaise chose to return to glory where it all started: on the red-dirt roads of Oklahoma. Wearing a new leopard-print ensemble, The Chaise surprised riders with an unannounced appearance at The Mid South 2023.
Sitting (and being sat upon) at Lake McMurtry before the final stretch of the course, The Chaise simply said, “It feels good to be back on gravel.”

In April, The Chaise ventured down to Michigan for Barry Roubaix, known as the world’s largest gravel race. It was a beautiful day on a world-class course with hundreds of happy riders taking a respite on The Chaise.

What’s next for The Chaise? We’ll see…
In late May, The Chaise let us in on a secret. “I just can’t hold it in any longer,” it said. While at The Mid South in March, The Chaise learned that it had been nominated and elected for induction into the Gravel Cycling Hall of Fame. And thus, The Chaise made its way down to Emporia, Kansas for the induction ceremony.
