Rangefinder: New Models Arriving
Share
The past year and a half has brought thousands of new riders to the bike world, and we couldn’t be more excited. If you purchased a bike lately, no matter who made it: thank you. If you’re still trying to buy a bike: check out our blog post on finding a Salsa.
Many of you likely bought a road or gravel bike recently and are ready to explore other types of riding. Perhaps you’re intrigued by your local mountain bike trails or your friends are talking you into trying mountain biking. No matter how you got dirt-curious, you should know that shipments of our Rangefinder trail hardtail are making their way to Salsa retailers. We designed this bike for riders who are new to mountain biking, but we think it’ll also feel great to riders who have a bit of singletrack experience under their feet.
Rangefinder’s geometry offers a comfortable, confident riding position, even as you progress to more challenging trails. A suspension fork with 120 mm of travel, hydraulic disc brakes, and a dropper post (on select models) keep you in control when the trail gets technical.
29" and 27.5+ wheel compatibility, plus on-bike cargo features let you adapt Rangefinder for casual trail riding, XC racing, bikepacking, and more on a wide variety of terrain so you can find out what type of riding you love most.

Finally, a note on availability: the bike industry is in the midst of an unprecedented bike boom. People are looking for responsible ways to get outside during the pandemic and we are thankful that the bicycle has been an outlet for so many during this time. While Salsa is bringing in more bikes than ever, there are simply not enough to satisfy the total need at the moment due to extraordinary demand, increased lead times for components, factory capacity, and shipping container shortages. But there are bikes out there! To help you find the one you want, we’ve put together some resources for tracking down the Salsa that will take you on your next Adventure by Bike: https://salsacycles.com/culture/finding_a_salsa_bike
