Timberjack SLX 27.5+
Timberjack SLX 27.5+
Timberjack SLX 27.5+ is a trail hardtail with the versatility for many off-road adventures. The aluminum frame is stiff, durable, and designed with progressive trail geometry for descending prowess and climbing capability. The 130 mm RockShox 35 Silver TK fork soaks up the trail hits to keep you in control through technical sections. Timberjack’s on-bike storage features let you bolt and strap your ride essentials straight to the frame for that oh-so-nice pack-free feeling. Our Alternator 2.0 dropouts easily adapt to different drivetrain choices and desired ride characteristics. The 27.5 x 2.8" wheel and tire combo spins up quickly and corners nimbly with loads of grip for loose trails and slickrock sections. The Shimano SLX 1 x 12 components are a reliable, value-packed setup.

Additional Features
6061-T6 Aluminum Tubing
Timberjack is built from our proprietary, top-shelf 6061-T6 aluminum tubing, which is double- and triple-butted in the main triangle for a light, responsive, and durable frame with great trail feel.
Timberjack Geometry
Our second-generation Timberjack geometry is longer, lower, and slacker for aggressive riding. A 66-degree head tube and long wheelbase make for a stable ride, while a long reach and steep (75-degree) seat tube balance weight distribution for efficient pedaling. Short chainstays (adjustable from 420–437 mm) keep the rear end nimble for responsive handling.
130 mm Suspension Fork
Soak up the harshness of gnarly roots, rock gardens, drops, or whatever’s in your path with 130 mm of suspension travel up front. Timberjack accommodates forks with up to 150 mm of travel.
Adjustable TranzX dropper post
Get your saddle out of the way for steep descents and technical sections with the included dropper post. 30 mm of tool-free travel adjustment lets you dial in the right travel for your fit and riding style.
Alternator 2.0 Dropouts
Our adjustable Alternator dropout system lets you run Timberjack geared or single-speed and accommodates multiple hub standards. Built-in adjustability gives you 17 mm of wheelbase travel so you can dial in your preferred ride characteristics.
Bottle & Accessory Mounts
SM–XL frames have two bottle mounts—including a Three-Pack mount on the downtube—in the main triangle (XS frames have only the Three-Pack mount on the downtube). All sizes feature an accessory mount on the underside of the down tube, plus top tube mounts for our EXP Series Direct Mount Top Tube Bag means room for more ride essentials. Rear rack mounts open up possibilities for larger loads.
Full-Length Internal Routing
Full-length internal routing for brake lines and shift cable housing means more reliable performance in sloppy conditions, simplified maintenance, and a better fit for frame bags.
Wheel and Tire Options
Timberjack is compatible with both 27.5 x 2.8" and 29 x 2.1–2.6" wheel and tire combinations.

FAQ
What size wheels/tires can I use on this frame?
Timberjack is designed for 27.5 x 2.8" or 29 x 2.1–2.6" wheels and tires
Can I use a suspension fork on this frame?
Yes, this frame is designed and tested for use with a suspension fork with an axle-to-crown length up to 563 mm (typically 150 mm of travel). Check the fork manufacturer's specifications to ensure the model and travel combination you intend to use is equal to or less than this length. Using a longer fork will void the frame warranty and could result in frame failure.
How do I take care of the alternator 2.0 dropouts?
We recommend periodically removing the bolts and cleaning the dirt and grime off of the hardware and frame surfaces. Then, lightly regrease the threaded parts and re-assemble.
Do you offer touch-up paint?
No, we do not offer touch up paint. Hobby shops or automotive stores are excellent places to find paint. We suggest you test the paint on a scrap piece of metal before using it on your frame.
I crashed and dented (or cracked) my frame. Is it safe to ride?
Stop riding your frame immediately and take it to the nearest Salsa authorized dealer for inspection. A dented or cracked tube represents a structural weakening of the frame, and is a safety risk.
